Five emerging queer producers were selected to attend our inaugural Queer Producers Incubator in 2024.

On 10 & 11 May 2024 the five producers attended a two-day intensive. The aim of the workshop was to upskill and offer tailored support to the producers who are all developing at least one feature film. The group also formed supportive connections they can draw on as they progress further in their careers. The participants all received mentoring from experienced producers after the workshop.

The selected participants in 2024 were:

• Jason Taylor (Te Tai Tokerau)

• K-Ci Williams (Tamaki Makaurau)

• Harry Wynn (Tamaki Makaurau)

The initiative was developed to address the shortage of experienced queer producers in New Zealand.
