WRITER/DIRECTOR

Mirene Castelltort is an emerging Spanish-Mexican filmmaker who moved to Aotearoa New Zealand with her family at the age of four. A graduate of Unitec's Screen Production programme, she has directed a number of music videos and short films, including her graduation film The King, which screened at several international film festivals.

After working as an Assistant Director on productions throughout Europe, Mirene has returned home to Aotearoa, where the support and inspiration of her family, friends, and creative community continue to shape her work as a writer and director.

PRODUCER

Jennifer Onyeiwu is a Brazilian-born Nigerian actress and producer. Trained in New York and currently completing her Masters in Marketing, combining performance craft with business insight and a story- first producing sensibility. She has appeared on stage and screen, including series such as One of Us Is Lying and Our Flag Means Death.

Her producing debut Detangling the Stigma (2024), marked her move into producing. In 2025, she produced a bold slate of projects including Lemonade, two other shorts. In May 2026, she was awarded the Vincent Burke scholarship for emerging producer.

WRITER/DIRECTOR

Ryan Bradley (Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Ngāraranui) has a background in assisting directors, producers and showrunners for international film and television. Working for a range of studios like NBC Universal, Sony, Warner Bros and Blumhouse has given Ryan the breadth of large-scale filmmaking, and he’s been able to take that experience onto local projects, producing short films and music videos of his own. His years of dance experience has allowed him to work in areas of movement direction, choreography and motion capture performance. His music video ‘Tōtara’ won the NZ On Air Award for 'Best Music Video’ at the Show Me Shorts Film Festival in 2024, and his latest dance film ‘Sun Phase’ was awarded the Day One Challenge People’s Choice Award. 

WRITER/PRODUCER

Hattie Adams (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Tūwharetoa) has had formal training at the New Zealand Broadcasting School and several years of local and international experience. She has production managed many local New Zealand Television drama series including, ‘Ahikāroa’, ‘End of the Valley’ and ‘Rapu’. Her understanding of logistics and people, help bring to life her own projects, crafting award-winning music videos as a producer and director. Hattie started her producing career with the short documentary ‘Our Money’ and quickly moved into the directing space. Her most recent video ‘Tōtara’ won the NZ On Air Award for ‘Best Music Video’ at the Show Me Shorts Film Festival in 2024, and her latest dance film that she produced, ‘Sun Phase’, was awarded the Day One Challenge People’s Choice Award.
